SOTA Spotlight: Olivia Perez
Olivia Perez is a 4th year psychology major with a minor in Disabilities in Society. She joined SOTA last year and is glad she did because she has met other students who love OT just as much as she does. She can learn more about OT through the wonderful speakers who come to the meetings and by going to events that help people in the Gainesville community. She is very excited for what’s to come, as she is applying to OT programs now. She has been a volunteer workout buddy, research committee member, and now a research coordinator for IFUS, Inclusive Fitness Unified Sports, where they work with the Gainesville community to help their peers with disabilities become more active through sports and fitness twice a week at the UF campus. She hopes to be able to work with the young disability community as an OT once she obtains her doctoral degree.
