SOTA is a service-based organization that works with many groups around Gainesville, Florida. Service events allow members to raise awareness regarding occupational therapy practices and participate in unique hands-on opportunities and personal interactions with a variety of populations within the community.

SOTA Food Drive
Thank you to everyone who donated items to support the Food and Fork Pantry to help collect food items! Your kindness is always so greatly appreciated!
COVID Student Corps & SOTA
SOTA is pairing with the COVID Student Service Corps (CSSC) to raise funds for GNV4ALL! GNV4ALL is a program designed to address and overcome inequities within the Gainesville community.
Below is a bingo card filled with items or specific dollar amounts that you can donate to help support local children & their families. Use this bingo card on your social media to get your friends and family involved! Once you’re done playing Bingo and have collected the money you can Venmo (@ufsota) the funds!
This is a fundraising competition within each UF health profession program. It’s a competition to see who can raise the most, so let’s get OT to the top! The competition ends October 31st!
If you choose to donate items rather than money, contact us and we will find a safe and contactless way to get the items from you (you must be in Gainesville for this option!).
You will receive max 1 service point for any amount or donation made.

Hands to Love Hand Camp
When: March 26-28, 2021
Where: Camp Keystone and Conference Center in Keystone Heights, Florida
Come out for a fun weekend spent with children with upper limb differences and their families! Lead activities, get to know members of the disability community, and experience the wonderful world of camp.

Hands to Love Teen Camp
Thank you to the SOTA members who helped run Hands to Love’s Teen Camp! The theme for the week was “Keen for Green”, so on Friday they built a succulent garden using repurposed objects. On Saturday, they did activities to build leadership skills and discussed ways to have a more environmentally-conscious lifestyle! SOTA loves working with Hands to Love, and we hope our members had a fun and memorable weekend with all the campers!
Kids 4 Kids Triathlon
